Buena Vista Goes Wireless In Korea

“Buena Vista is set to become the first US studio to launch wireless content in Korea after agreeing to a package deal covering live-action series with Korean satellite digital media broadcasting (DMB) operator TU Media.” The deal includes 250 hoursof programming from Buena Vista, including Buena Vista International Television (BVITV) must-haves Desperate Housewives and Alias, on its linear channel, Blue.
“TU Media currently offers a basic service with 12 linear channels streaming via satellite onto mobile. The service launched in May and has more than 200,000 subscribers, who require a DMB mobile device and pay a monthly $17 subscription for all channels.”
