Updated: this is not actual Q3 earnings, but estimates for upcoming Q3 announcement:
Online reference site Answers.com (fka Gurunet) reported its Q3 earnings estimates recently (the full Q3 results will be announced in November). Revenues for Q3 will come in at estimated $0.55 million compared to $0.42 million in Q2, or 30% sequential growth. Ad revenues for Q3 will come in around $0.5 million compared to $0.36 million in the Q2, or 40% sequential growth, with over 40% of these ad revenues generated in September.
The company got a big boost when Google changed its dictionary/reference listing from Dictionary.com to Answers.com earlier this year. Answers.com itself was launched in January this year.
