Electronic Arts has announced that The Sims 2 will be available on mobiles in December, as the last part of its plan to put the game on all platforms.
“Aiming to give mobile gamers something a little different, The Sims 2 for mobiles will feature entirely new storylines, a ‘Create-a-Sim’ mode allowing player customisation from a selection of components, and the latest popular term in the mobile industry – ‘one-thumb’ gameplay.”
The press release only mentions Europe, not the US or Asia…nor is there any mention of where the game will be sold, but Vodafone has already signed up to put it on its Live portal.
EA entered the mobile space relatively late, and so far seems to be concentrating on porting its most popular games to the platform, which makes sense — you go after the low-hanging fruit first.
