Gurgaon-based SMS solutions company ValueFirst and leading engineering college BITS Pilani (alma mater of Sabeer ‘Hotmail’ Bhatia) teamed up for providing state-of-the-art mobile messaging initiative for Oasis 2005, the annual cultural festival organized by the students of BITS Pilani.
The mobile messaging initiative with ValueFirst will help BITS Pilani manage communication on mobile phones of participants as SMS on mobile phones during Oasis, 2005. The mobile messaging communication, done from desktop computers via the internet using ValueFirst software and services, will help organizers keep in touch with thousands of participants and visitors. This will primarily be done to announce various ongoing activities and make the festival more exciting. The use of mobile messaging for communication at Oasis will put BITS Pilani as the first institute in India to use professional mobile messaging services at a large scale.
