National Geographic‘s Digital Media Group has launched a new short-form video production unit, which will aim for the broadband market. It has signed its first non-exclusive deal with MSN Video, to supply content to the broadband video service.
Heading up the unit is NatGeo’s Gil Pimentel, a five-time Emmy Award winner and former “Nightline” producer. Pimentel oversees a team of producers, editors and researchers, who comprise the new broadband content group.
