[by Mike Butcher @ MIPCOM] GreenGrass.tv has signed up BBC World, the 24-hour international news and information channel, for its pre-pay broadcast network. Going live in a few weeks, the service will be in high quality video. GreenGrass’s idea is that they use the Net to offer broadcasters and rights holders an alternative to digital TV networks for distribution. BBC World joins news broadcaster ITN and a number of other channels participating in the beta trial of GreenGrass ahead of a full consumer launch in January.
