Couple of interesting digital-media related companies funded recently (well, probably within the year) by Nokia…hadn’t heard of them before and these funding don’t seem to have been publicly announced:
- Xcerla: Hadn’t heard of this startup before, but looks like it is funded by Nokia and other venture investors…according to this job posting, it is developing “infrastructure software to enable the next generation of service delivery models ranging from mobile content to online music, podcast to mobile advertising, Software as a Services to Grid services.” This 2002 link has some more dated info…
– M-Terra: This one has some more info on the website…it was founded by ex-P2P renegades, CEO and CTO of StreamCast Networks. The company, funded by Nokia, ConduIT, and Heller Ehrman, allows for content to be pushed to a desktop app…
