Jumbuck has launched Feedalot Reader, an RSS Reader which emerged out of a project to build an application to read Firefox Live bookmarks on a wireless device…the service now supports “web, blackberry, pda and most mobile devices without needing a download”. As far as I can tell the feeds are accessed via a mobile browser at mob.feedalot.com.
A while ago Freerange Communications released a Java-based RSS feed called FreeNews. It costs $19.95 for an annual subscription, and there’s a free trial…According to FreeRange: “FreeNews has a server component that stores subscriptions. When you connect from the phone, all your news is downloaded to your phone. This makes it extremely fast and efficient, and much more useful than a WAP browser where you must always make a connection and reload pages.”
Technically, any web-based RSS reader can be used on a mobile phone that can access the Web (as opposed to the internet) but if you know of any RSS readers that have an additional mobile component let us know…
