As a result of their dominance in their space we are seeking a candidate with a strong marketing background in the music/media/entertainment industry for this great opportunity

Position: Entertainment Marketing Leader

Location: NY city/Northern NJ/Connecticut area

The candidate will head the North American Entertainment team responsible for working closely with the Global Multimedia Marketing team on the development of product and media services integrated marketing campaigns that will be rolled-out globally. This marketing leader will be responsible for leading global and local teams on the development of go-to-market and creative marketing plans along with local execution of marketing campaigns in North America. The candidate will manage their own team and manage other various teams in a cross-matrix organization, with indirect reporting. Will also be responsible for financial planning and management for cost center.

Other responsibilities:

– Establish the company brand in the emerging value domain of Media and Entertainment, with the promotion of new products and services

– Responsible for high quality execution of teams’ campaign plans

– Negotiation responsibility with external partners

– Communication support: Presentations (trainings, customers, partners)

– Participation in nominated top level global strategy projects, process, vendor management, coop, etc.

– Universal rollout of campaigns

EXPERIENCE:

– Experience with managing high-level multimedia campaigns from a Multinational company perspective

– Proven track record in working with advertising, advertising agencies, and a strong knowledge of traditional and non-traditional advertising.

– Strong Team leadership (and organizational) skills a must

– Exposure to and understanding of developer communities, as well as new media trends

– Excellent working knowledge and experience in the area of music, motion picture, media and entertainment – including new technologies, evolution of business models/value-chain, changing consumer behaviors in the entertainment value domain.

– Experience in management of regional projects, especially within North American and European area.

– Excellent presentation and negotiation skills

Candidates of particular interest are those that come from companies such as digital media groups within top media companies including Disney, Viacom, NBC Universal, Time Warner/AOL/Turner, Hearst, BMG, News Corp., Comcast etc. MSN, Yahoo, Google, ebay, Apple/itunes or top market agencies. Potential interest could be for candidates from Verizon, Cingular, Virgin, Nike, Coke etc.
