EmailLabs Bought Out By J.L. Halsey

Consolidation continues in the e-mail vendor space, as holding company J.L Halsey is indulging in a small rollup: the company, which bought Lyris in May, has acquired Uptilt Inc., which does business as EmailLabs.

Halsey will pay Uptilt approximately $19.5 million in cash at closing (of which approximately $2.8 million will be funded through Uptilt’s available cash) and will pay two annual installments totaling up to approximately $3.5 million if EmailLabs achieves specified revenue targets in the first and second year following the closing.

Halsey said it would seek further acquisition opportunities in the e-mail marketing space. Some more details in the release here
