I have been mentioning the Linux-based internet appliance for over a year but it looks like you will actually be able to walk into a best buy and pick one up. The Pepper Pad has a 20 GB hard drive, 8.4 inch LCD, 256 MB of SDRAM, 32 MB of flash memory and 32 MB of video RAM, all held together with a Linux wrapper. The Pepper Pad is intended for surfing the web, doing email and other such internet work. It also functions as a remote control for your video and audio components. Best Buy will be selling the unique device for $849.
