Sports Videos On Mobiles

Premium TV has signed an exclusive deal to screen clips from the World Rally Championships (WRC) to mobile phones before they are shown on TV. “The arrangement will see Premium TV create a package of ‘mobile ready’ WRC content for Bellrock Media to deliver to customers across the Japanese mobile networks; Digital Orchid for North and South American networks; and Arena Mobile for networks in selected countries in Europe…Users will be able to see highlights of each leg of every rally just days after the event and will also be able to see exclusive WRC news and interviews; and access the WRC archive, where they can download and relive classic WRC moments.”
Meanwhile, under the provocative heading Leather and willow hits mobile NetImperative reports that UK operator Orange has launched a live cricket channel for its customers, one of eight new channels being added to the Orange TV service. “The ICC Super Series will be the first cricket series ever to be broadcast live to mobiles.”
