Verizon adds MTV Networks and BET to the FiOS lineup with a wide-ranging deal announced today. That’s 27-plus channels including Comedy Central, MTV, VH1, Spike TV, BET Jazz and TV Land. MTV gets what it wants — carriage for all the new nets including LOGO, MTV Desi, MTV K, MTV Chi, and MHD. In addition to the palette of networks, Verizon will offer MTVN VOD as part of FiOS “Free-on-Demand” and MTVN’s digital radio networds. Broadband subs will have access to the various MTV broadband channels including MTV Overdrive and TurboNick. (Not sure how this will differ from what they can get today via broadband without the deal.)
