Crown Castle Mulls Sale Of Australian Assets

Crown Castle International — which owns 77.6% of Crown Castle Australia — is reviewing what to do with the business, including a possible sale which could net up to $608 million. Crown Castle owns the towers used in the current DVB-H trial in Australia. If there is a sale it will be interesting to see who buys, and who is interested in buying…
RCR Wireless notes that “in 2004, CCI sold its U.K. business, including 3,600 tower sites, to U.K. utility company National Grid Transco plc for $2.035 billion in cash”, and may be in talks to buy SBA Communications Corp.
