Apple is trying to tamp down potentially damaging criticism about its new Nano by promising replacements for cracked screens and telling those complaining about scrtaches that they should use a protective case. It’s a relatively quick response for Apple. Word about the flaws in some Nanos spread as quickly as the buzz about the tiny devices themselves, spurred by a frustrated Nano owner who put up the site http://www.flawedmusicplayer.com and invited others to share stories. The site now redirects to a message from Matthew Peterson: “I am very delighted to see Apple take this issue seriously. It is sad that it took a website and a lot of publicity before they finally investigated but at least future Nano users with the same problem I had will not be subjected to the same treatment that I was. “This was a real issue and most people tried to ignore it.”
