MySpace.com Sponsors Nine Inch Nails, Queens Of The Stone Age Concert Tour

MySpace.com’s sponsorship of the Nine Inch Nails tour with Queens of the Stone Age is part of an ongoing marketing campaign harnessing the site’s 30-million member power for NIN. MySpace can show exclusive concert footage from the tour (warning: opening the page unleashes sound). The other marketing components:
— the exclusive world premiere on the latest NIN album last spring generated more than 500,000 MySpace user streams in one week. Maybe it was coincidence but it was a record launch week for NIN and the alblun (With_Teeth) debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200.

— MySpace hosts an NIN single that can be remixed. More than 1,200 remixes have been uploaded. People can vote for their favorites.

This is only a sample of the kind of marketing MySpace can do — and just one example of why FIM wants it for News Corp. Press release.
