Turner Broadcasting’s GameTap has a GM in time for its October launch: Stuart Snyder will head the all-you-can-play broadband gaming service with responsibility for day-to-day marketing, programming, development and distribution. Snyder already has a track record with Turner; earlier in his career he built the TBS home entertainment division, growing revenues to $350 million from $20 million. His eclectic entertainment resume includes former president and COO of the WWF, president and CEO of Feld Entertainment (Ringling Brothers. and Barnum & Bailey, Disney on Ice), co-founder Turnstile Entertainment and president of USA Home Entertainment. Most recently, he was president and CEO of Montreal-based Cinar Corp., an animation, live-action and education production/distribution company. He’ll be based in Atlanta, reporting to Dennis Quinn, EVP-business development.
