Some more tidbits out of the Digital Hollywood conference, which ended yesterday:
– Fox Interactive is rumored to announce a couple of more deals at Web 2.0, the big conference in SF early next month…of the Web 2.0 nature. Is it Blinkx, again?
– Puzzle to solve, for you: What’s a company that’s been funded by Cisco, one of the big sponsors of the DH conference (Intel was the only one I could think of…it had a big presence there), and a big name VC? Anyway, whatever the company is, it is in advanced talks to be acquired by a big media company..so said the lawyer on the deal, at a panel at the conference.
– Music metadata firm Muze‘s rollup with rival AMG is not likely to happen, because of all the vulture capitalists involved…
– Everyone is excited about TV rebroadcasts or pre-broadcasts over the Internet…and everyone is experimenting with it. CourtTV, which launched a subscription video service, has seen good pickup in the number of subscribers, but is also looking at ad-supported services…
