Richard MacManus has commented on the recent research commissioned by Mobeon which found that only 17% of phone users used advanced functions on a daily basis. Aside from the whole “daily basis” point MacManus claims the survey would have been a lot different if it had been conducted in China. He cites a MorganStanley report (PDF) to back up his case…”Unlike the Rest of the World, China Internet is Mobile-centric Rather Than PC-centric”. China has 360 million mobile users — already well past the number of landline users and fixed-internet users (according to the CIA World Factbook)…so he’s got a point.
The day after the Mobeon survey hit the news another one did which claimed UK Is Nation Of ‘Mobile Download Junkies’…
