Day two at the Digital Hollywood conference here in Santa Monica was calmer as people settled down after the frenzied day one (well, I did too)..some fallout from the news about Viacom buying out iFilm (in a separate post).
But the settling down is relative…these certainly feel like bubble days, especially on the mobile side. On the broadband side, it is buzzworthy on the online side, with major efforts from the big media players making everyone excited. On the digital home side, it is still about all the unresolved issues: devices, DRM, content…
On some themes: everyone’s trying to be the next MySpace; everyone on the content side is suddenly waking up to voice (with eBay-Skype deal and today’s announcement of AOL rolling out VOIP.
