@ MCW: New Games Channel For Major Carrier

[by Mike Butcher] Bill Barhydt, CEO of Sennari (the mobile loyalty company), previewed for MocoNews a major announcement it plans to make with a premier mobile carrier in the UK tomorrow. The deal will involve the licensing of PrizePlay, its branded series of skill games developed with its partnership with UK-based Channel One Games. To give you an idea of the deal, the carrier in question has never created a new games category on its mobile portal before. This deal will. There’s more – rumour has it that a major announcement will be made about a deal Sennari will sign with a major games brand (like, games you played as a kid) next week. Of his mobile loyalty technology (which automaticaly creates an account based on the user’s mobile number without the need for registration) Bill said: “We think the opportunity is to change the distribution and economics of mobile gaming. If I play a game 100 times a month pay-per-play, this is more compelling to a games maker than a single download and the consumer gets a prize virtually everytime they play. Plus people can pass the game around to their friends for free.” MocoNews advice? Watch this company.
