I was watching CNBC India channel this afternoon. I happened to watch an interview with Anuradha Prasad (pic courtesy: Indiantelevision.com), Managing Director of BAG Films, a Delhi-based TV software production house.
The gist of the interview is that BAG Films is not going to limit itself to just TV but would explore other mediums to deliver its content. The company, which is already in the process of making movies, is now thinking of delivering content through broadband, Internet, mobile, whatever.
“We are always looking at the best platforms to deliver content,” Prasad told the interviewer on TV. The company is in fact looking at raising upto $4-5 million for investing in new delivery platforms.
BAG Films is a small company (the company had a turnover of Rs 364 million or $9 million last year). It’s interesting to see how everybody is adapting to the changing media technologies.
