As part of Audible‘s Platform Business unit, this individual will be responsible for the creation of new customer acquisition channels for the Audible service as well as P&L responsibility. Success requires the creation of growth alliances that create significant revenue. The capacity to quickly and professionally strike business development relationships for the syndication of Audible content with portals, large website, and media companies, is essential. This executive will be responsible for all elements of business case creation and related modeling and analysis; also negotiation and closing of key deals in association with our legal department.
The ideal candidate for this position has:
– 4-7 years of experience in progressive strategic marketing positions for consumer-oriented, subscription-based businesses.
– Knowledge of the consumer electronics industry, wireless carrier community or consumer retail.
– A history of developing and implementing business and revenue building strategies
– Proven ability to create deep, trusting, fruitful, and long-lasting business relationships a plus.
– A self motivated and independent style and a proven ability to manage and meet aggressive deadlines.
– Strong project management skills
– Excellent analytical, creativity, problem solving, negotiation, conflict management, organizational, and communication skills.
– A positive, can-do attitude and entrepreneurial approach.
– Comfortable inside a relatively unstructured, fast-paced environment.
– Experience working a cross-functional team environment to drive results.
Position is located in Wayne, NJ and will require approximately 20% travel
