As this Seattle Times story says, citing the example of Muskoka Media, a Seattle based startup founded by Andrew Wright, former VP at RealNetworks involved there with the gaming download service RealArcade. The company isn’t saying what it will do, but has got $1 million in funding from the likes of RealNetworks CEO Rob Glaser, Macromedia Chairman Rob Burgess and GameSpy founder Mark Surfas (it seems obvious is will work in gaming, despite what it say…)
The company plans to launch the service next year, with plans to raise up to $5 million in VC financing to kick-start the marketing efforts.
