MPAA, RIAA Join Internet2 Consortium

A few months after the RIAA sued 33 people for allegedly using the academic high-speed Internet2 for illegal downloads, the music industry association and the MPAA are joining the Internet2 consortium. From News.com: “Internet2 will serve as a test site for the MPAA and the RIAA to study secure content distribution over future-generation networks, and the organizations will collaborate with select members of Internet2.” Press release.
First suggestion for true collaboration: stop suing people for using the technology.
