MLB Advanced Media, L.P. (MLBAM) is the interactive media and Internet
Company of Major League Baseball. MLBAM manages the official league site,
www.MLB.com, and each of the 30 individual Club sites to create the most comprehensive Major League Baseball resource on the Internet. We are seeking
a Technical Project Manager.
MLBAM is seeking a Technical Project Manager for an immediate opening. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for managing web-based
software implementations, user specifications, software quality, project
schedules, customer communication and project administration. Candidate must
posses the ability to effectively manager full life cycle application
development and project implementation. Successful candidate must have 5
years of experience with enterprise software implementations.
Responsibilities:
– Assist in technical feasibility studies, implementation approach,
deployment strategies, and QA efforts
– Work with management to ensure that projects are prioritized and staffing
assignments are approved and allocated across these priorities in a
consistent manner.
– Follow established PM methodology guidelines in order to manage entire
project life cycle
– Proactively communicate all issues and/or problems to all project stake
holders.
– Complete all necessary documentation for reporting status of project and
explaining any variances.
– Focal point for stake holders/customers interaction
Required Skills:
– Bachelor’s degree required.
– Proven experience in project planning and management, preferably in
web-based commerce and content environments.
– Minimum of 5 year of experience as a technical lead, solutions architect,
or technical manager in web technologies and enterprise application
implementations in an UNIX/Oracle, and/or Windows/SQL environment
– Experience with one or more of the following strongly desired: Java, XML,
SQL, UML, SOAP.
– Experience with MS Project, Visio, MS Office
– Excellent communication and organizational skills
– Proven ability to work in a fast paced business environment.
