Nokia has teamed up with the Discovery Channel to launch a new website designed to teach first-time film makers how to make films…with emphasis on using video mobiles, of course. They’re also holding a contest open to 12 South East Asian countries on the “icon” of the communities, with the winners receiving a Nokia N90 handset.
It’s a good idea — there’s a lot of new creative tools being put into the market on mobile phones, with a lot of people who have no idea how to use them. Anyone can turn on a video recorder and wave it about but getting a film that is worth watching is slightly harder…the same applies to other new multimedia capacities. (via Picturephoning)
