In UK, BBC will begin trialling a new labelling system for online on-demand content on its interactive media player (iMP). It is being developed to protect viewers watching time-shifted programmes from ‘challenging’ content that can no longer be signalled by the traditional 9pm watershed.
Due to launch this month, the second phase of the iMP project will see the BBC open up much more of its content, with 190 hours of TV programmers, 310 radio shows and a range of rights cleared feature films made available.
