Business Standard: The broadband rates have come down in India. However, I would still say that it’s expensive compared to global standards. An unlimited connection – with a decent speed of 256 kbps – is still as expensive as some Rs 2,000 a month. You get 64 kbps unlimited connection for Rs 900 a month, but that’s too slow. It would be great if one can introduce a 256 kbps unlimited connection for sub-Rs1,000. Then that would make India a broadband country…one doesn’t have to worry about downloading music and so on. What do you say?
