For-side.com and Papyless announced on August 29 that they have formed a strategic alliance for a mobile electronic book service…As the market for cellular handsets continues expanding, the two companies will jointly develop e-books and other mobile content services. The Japanese e-book market is expected to reach 110 billion yen ($1.0 billion) in 2010.
Detailed business plans have yet to be announced. As of the end of August, For-side.com will acquire 800 shares of Papyless from Fujitsu, the current leading shareholder of Papyless.
