Yahoo, which bought out photo-sharing site Flickr earlier this year, is facing some resistance from users of the service. I don’t think there’s much here, but the interesting point is the integration of what are essentially grassroot/community efforts (the Web 2.0/open-source ethic) and their integration into the mainstream companies…
MySpace’s integration into Fox/News Corp has some similar rumblings.
Staci adds: Two quick thoughts … the rumblings about MySpace.com are over what people worry might happen while the Flickr protest is about what’s being done. Also, Yahoo is integrating Flickr and FIM insists it wants to use some of the technology elsewhere but is leaving MySpace.com alone.
