The Manager, Strategic Analysis uses analytical problem-solving to find and/or flesh out business opportunities for the most successful weight-loss site on the Internet.
Specifically, this individual:
– Identifies issues, structures work plans, forms hypotheses, designs and conducts analyses, develops conclusions, and helps to implement change.
– Collaborates with people from across the organization (e.g., from the technology, marketing, and finance departments and from the Weight Watchers meetings business)
– Carries out complex analyses, requiring detailed financial modeling (carried out in Microsoft Excel). (All analyses are geared toward solving a business problem.)
– Presents findings in a way that highlights why they matter.
– Takes on new and unfamiliar projects, with the expectation that he or she will learn quickly so as to be able to share insights with other members of the team.
– Has daily and weekly business performance reporting responsibilities.
– Periodically works under considerable time pressure (e.g., when contributing to materials to be reviewed by the board of directors).
Required:
– Excellent quantitative and problem-solving skills
– Excitement at taking on new and unfamiliar roles and responsibilities; intellectual curiosity
– Appreciation for teamwork
– Self-confidence, motivation, resourcefulness, tenacity and independence
– Strong presentation skills (including both the ability to present and the ability to build effective presentations)
– Deep familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (especially Excel)
– 2-4 years of analytically rigorous strategy experience.
– Outstanding academic credentials.
