Title: Sr. Director, Product Management-Content Match

Location: Pasadena, CA

The Senior Product Director will assume responsibility for the leadership and product development for all forms of advertising on non-search pages: Market identification and analysis, competitive research, vendor selection, platform/product definition, testing, development planning and product launches across global markets

Primary responsibilities consist of:

– Manage, grow and motivate team of junior and senior level product and project managers

– Product business ownership: Gathering & assessment of online advertising market data synthesized into clear marketing requirements to enhance existing Content Match business. Includes business and product strategy, modeling, forecasting, budgeting, success metrics, and P&L analysis.

– Lead product definition and cross functional team product development to extend advertising across content pages in the U.S. and key international markets.

– Obtain executive-level and peer consensus on product requirements

– Work well with cross-functional team members, especially in sales, business development, engineering and across Yahoo! properties and functions.

– Oversee product testing and development of new products and product enhancements

– Close coordination with YSM teams in international markets to identify and define local product features/characteristics and evaluate potential vendor relationships

– Document, prioritize, and communicate feature, functionality, and enhancement requests related to the development of Content Match products

– Research and tracking of system problems, questions, and keeping stakeholders informed of progress

Skills/Qualifications:

– 10+ years of product management experience.

– Specific and in-depth knowledge of the online advertising industry

– Application development for advertising related products.

– Experience working with international markets (Europe or Asia)

– Ability to be creative, problem solve and build strategic/visionary product roadmaps for future product needs

– Experience developing and managing product plans across the entire product lifecycle from initial deployments through 2.0 through end of life.

– Internet experience required.

– Understanding of search advertising, contextual advertising, banner/rich media advertising, Yahoo! Search Marketing products and emerging platforms such as mobile commerce/advertising.

– Solid presentation and communication skills

– Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple constituents and a large number of small tasks

– Proactive, entrepreneurial and detail-oriented individual

– Strong prioritization capabilities such as analyzing levels of urgency, dependencies, etc.

– Candidate must be willing to travel between Pasadena and Sunnyvale, and occasionally internationally.
