Indiatimes: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited is planning to introduce ‘wi-fi’, high speed internet services, in 15 major cities across the country with 300 ‘hot spots’ soon, Union Communications and IT Minister Dayanidhi Maran said on Sunday.
Chennai city had been allotted 36 hot spots in phase-I implementation of the services, he said, launching the free wi-fi services in Chennai airport today. Two of the 36 hot spots had been allotted to Chennai airport, one at the domestic terminal and another at the international interminal.
This service will be implemented in phases in other airports.
