Airborne Entertainment has launched an online service which lets people mix their own ringtone — it was apparently launched in late July in association with Boost Mobile but we missed it at the time. It’s an online service which allows people to mix six different beats, melodies, voices and sound effects chosen from a fairly large list to achieve the ringtone they want and then pay $1.99 to have the ringtone sent to their phone. I liked the Butler Shout Out myself…
“Adam Flick, chief marketing officer at Airborne Entertainment, said Ring DJ was an extension of the ringtones the company creates for such content partners as Speed TV and “Family Guy,” which mix familiar sounds or lines of dialogue with original music and effects.”
