So says Forbes.com…for the upcoming Sprint Nextel mobile music service. Expect Sprint to announce that its hired Andover, Mass.-based Groove Mobile to handle the back end of the operation. Formerly known as Chaoticom, the outfit already helps carriers in Europe and Asia move music directly to consumer’s phones.
Meanwhile, Sprint has yet to ink a deal with Universal Music Group, the world’s largest music label, though it already has deals with Warner Music Group, EMI Group and Sony BMG Music, the story says.
