NYC-based nobile gaming startup Cellufun has closed its first round of financing, led by Vaux Les Ventures. The mobile gaming company will use the proceeds to accelerate the development and launch of its multi-player gaming portal cellufun.com.
Vaux Les Ventures is the investment vehicle for Miles Spencer, the host of the popular PBS television show on business development, Money Hunt.
Cellufun’s community-based, mobile gaming portal will offer games for free, with multi-player access requiring a subscription, the company said. It plans to launch the beta version of The Battle for Orion’s Belt in August.
