Infinium Labs, the oh-so-elusive online gaming company which is taking forever to launch its gaming platform, has named its current COO Kevin Bachus as the new CEO. Bachus is one of the four original pioneers of Microsoft’s Xbox.
The company’s Phantom Game Service is supposed to offer video games over the Internet.
Additional details of the company’s “restructuring” would be released in the coming weeks. As part of the reorganization, the company’s headquarters have been moved to a floor of a building in downtown Seattle, where Bachus is based, away from the company’s former headquarters in Sarasota, Florida.
Puget Sound Business Journal: Infinium has dealt with allegations of pushing [its gaming system] Phantom as vaporware, using fax schemes to pump stock prices and a host of lawsuits, all while trying to land more than $20 million in financing needed to roll out Phantom and keep the company afloat.
