AOLMobile.com Launched

AOL continues its stagger into the mobile market…it has launched aolmobile.com, a “personalized mobile portal that makes it easy to learn about, buy and use today’s hottest wireless communications and content services”. The service has been available in public beta for several weeks, and its full-featured version will debut today.
It includes features on different mobile handsets and phone plans, special deals and “My Mobile Dashboard”, which “is designed to give mobile users a central place to easily manage cell phone features and preferences, such as IM Forwarding or Alerts and Reminders. By registering their phone in the privacy-protected site, users can also quickly identify and select relevant services and download features like ringtones and wallpapers”.
AOL has also extended its normal web page to offer WAP 2 access to its Mobile Search Services, and it includes a bunch of content including news, sports, weather, yellow pages and so on.
