– Microsoft: Microsoft is looking to build podcasting and RSS functionalities into the next version of Windows Media Player. What Apple can do, we can do too…a year later.
– Google: Even though the company has halted its Google PrinT program for libraries till November, it is now wising up and hiring people with experience working in the publishing industry to drive the project forward. They’ll now work with publishers…
– Sony Connect: It’s trying to do anything and everything to get somewhere, including radio, mobile etc.
– Yahoo News: Keeps hiring to build up its news section, and it wants people with “general knowledge of the news industry and awareness of emerging online journalism trends (blogs, RSS, citizen journalism, interactive storytelling.”
