Meetroduction co-founder Wendell Davis tells Randy Charles Morin of iBLOGthere4iM that the recently launched company is not on the verge of being acquired by Google. InternetNews.com reported earlier this week — and we picked it up — that an acquisition was imminent. Says Davis: “Well, as for the rumors, I hope to hell that they are true! We love Google, and I can certainly see why people might think that Meetro would fit in with their product line. We’ve talked with some people there — they were aware of us before the story broke — but the fact of the matter is that no acquisition is taking place.”
The interview includes considerable detail about the IM social location service. (via MicroPersuasion)
