The trend for online debut of TV series continues: Showtime is making the first episode of its new comedy strip, Barbershop: The Series, available on MSN Video as a free online offering simultaneous with the show’s linear debut.
The episode will be housed at MSN Video for eight consecutive days.
Forbes: This is Showtime’s second shot at simulcasting its premium product on a free Internet portal: Earlier this year it pulled off the same stunt with the debut of its quasi-reality show Fat Actress, except that it partnered with Yahoo.
