The number of people in the US who have downloaded ringtones increased fourfold in the last twelve months to 23% of mobile phone owners…about 30 million people. There’s more detail there, but this is particularly interesting.
“The TEMPO study results also reveal that, while not yet widely available to the market, 6% of mobile phone owners report having downloaded full songs to their mobile phone, with smaller portions of the mobile population experimenting with downloading ring backs (6%), short video clips (3%) and music videos (2%).” (via Ringtonia)
