Nokia And Vodafone Italy Make A HSDPA Call

“Vodafone Italy and Nokia have successfully made the first data connection with HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) using fully commercial WCDMA 3G network equipment. The call obtained user data speeds of 1.5 Mbps.” So, the next generation seems to be coming along…of course there’s a significant difference between theoretical speeds, test speeds and what actually ends up available on the commercial network…but it’s an improvement, and improved bandwidth means improved scope for mobile content.
