Reuters has launched a premium SMS news alerts service in U.S…similar services have been operating in UK and Europe for some time now, and this is the U.S. version now, with technology from M-Qube.
It is almost laughably basic…2-3 SMS alerts a week, and the subscription service costs $2.99 per month. But then, considering that U.S. consumers are still in the very early stage of exposure to premium SMS service, this is not suprising.
Reuters has also launched a free ringtone and some wallpapers ($2 per wallpapers)…
