More On LimeLife’s Funding

A few weeks ago we promised you more on LimeLife, the mobile content start-up focussed on women, and its $5 million in funding. Here it is…the investors in the SF-based company include Rustic Canyon Partners, U.S. Venture Partners, i-Hatch Ventures, and Monitor Ventures.
This story is a pretty good spotlight on the company, including the fact that the founding trio are known as “the Go-Gos of mobile gaming”.
“The key to success, aside from killer content, will be distribution. LimeLife has scored a distribution deal with Verizon for its “Word Heaven” game. Sprint and Cingular picked up “Girls Night Out Solitaire,” “Word Heaven Deluxe” and several upcoming titles, McDonnell said…Deals like that are where the money is for LimeLife and its competitors. Users generally pay $4 to $5 to download a game, which is split between the gaming company and carrier.”
