Following yesterday’s story, the official annuoncement of AOL’s buyout of Wildseed today. The new AOL wireless division will include the operations of AOL Mobile, Wildseed and Tegic Communications (which develops text input technologies for the devices), which AOL acquired in 1999. The company said Wildseed’s employees and operations will be integrated into AOL’s Seattle offices, and Wildseed Chief Executive Eric Engstrom will become senior vice president of wireless products.
