Even simple mobile content services can be tricky…UK operator O2 raised the ire of mobile bloggers when it changed the method it used to send mobile e-mails: “O2 said it would “improve customer experience” because recipients of the e-mails would see multimedia elements together online, as senders intended.” However the company received a stream of complaints from mobloggers who found their images no longer appeared on their blogs…O2 have reverted to the original way the messages were sent and is busy searching for a solution that doesn’t affect the bloggers. There’s a forum on the issue here.
It’s a smart move to revert back since user-generated content is shaping up to be a major portion of the mobile content business.
