You read it here first, as usual: Amazon.com will be launching a digital music service soon, according to a job posting it has submitted on our Digital Media Jobs Blog. It is looking for a content acquisition manager for the service.
Amazon.com’s ambitions in digital media are not necessarily a secret, but it has been holding cards close to the chest, with few specific details or even initiatives, except its e-books program. It has announced an audio books download service, after its agreement with Audible went away.
