WideRay Secures $10 Million in Series C Funding

WideRay Corp, the SF based mobile startup which makes retail and on-location solutions for mobile distribution of digital media and promotional content to mobile devices, announced that it has raised $10 million in third round of funding, primarily from Enterprise Partners Venture Capital (EPVC), with additional backing from existing investor Sequoia Capital and other private investors. WideRay will use the funds primarily to pursue new customers and capitalize on the accelerated demand for on-location wireless entertainment and promotional content distribution across retail segments.
“Enterprise Partners is very enthusiastic about WideRay and its business model, particularly in light of the growth opportunities we see in on-location content sales and distribution in a retail setting,” said Stensrud. “WideRay has identified a very specific audience, has determined exactly what that audience wants, and has set up a mechanism for getting it to them – all critical factors for success. Based on its proven ability to execute, we think WideRay will experience exponential growth very quickly.”
